Kells history tour
The children from 3rd and 4th had a great day out in Kells where they learned all about St.Colmcille and the history of the town. We started off in the playground and they loved having fun with their friends. We then visited all the different stops around Kells to see the various crosses, St.Colmcilles house and finished off with a talk in the heritage centre. The children enjoyed finding all the different carvings on the crosses- particularly the market cross. We finished off with our swimming lesson in the pool!
