This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to purchase another set of Chromebooks for the school to ensure that children had access to a device on a regular basis throughout the school day. We were also able to purchase a set of Ipads for the junior classes and invest in Lego Education sets as the ICT grant had not been used up purchasing the chrome books. It also enabled us to engage with Reading Eggs, an online literacy app.
